Twas four days before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a faucet was dripping–FIX THE WATER my spouse!
The towels were all hung in the bathroom with care
In hopes that I could shower and condition my hair
When under the house there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to the boathouse to see what was the matter.
There was my husband, blow torch in hand,
He’d just had a shock, the live wire unplanned
But the pump started pumping, the pipes began to sputter
Out from the faucet poured both hot and cold water!
On cooking, on cleaning, wash the dishes, scrub the floor,
Shower, shave legs, brush the teeth, condition and more!
And now I know, as we go into the night,
Wife’s threat of no shower, no cuddling, gives the husband a fright
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

A fright, indeed! Merry Christmas to all those in the great white north!
